AI summary — not a quote

Dispatch is a highly-regarded narrative adventure that evolves the episodic formula popularized by Telltale Games. It is widely praised for its exceptional writing, art style, and voice acting—specifically Jeffrey Wright's performance—though opinions are mixed on its gameplay mechanics. While many enjoyed the team management 'dispatch' missions, others found the 'hacking' puzzles tedious and the overall interactive elements shallow compared to the strength of the story.

Pros

  • Exceptional narrative, dialogue, and character development
  • High-quality voice acting, featuring Jeffrey Wright
  • Polished art style and animation that exceeds previous genre standards
  • Improved pacing over traditional adventure games by removing 'wandering' segments

Cons

  • Hacking puzzles are frequently described as boring, time-wasting, and lacking challenge
  • Core gameplay can feel shallow or secondary to the story
  • Some players felt the ending was rushed or lacked a satisfying conclusion

I thought the dispatch missions were quite fun but holy shit the “hacking” was awful. Boring puzzles that take no brainpower to solve, but just waste your time.

I loved the story, but I even liked the Dispatch gameplay, I wish they had given that aspect more replayability.

People like it because the story is pretty good and the characters are fun, with it feeling fresh and new in terms of how it handles super heroes after the marvel burnout The game is very fun if you like its humor and story focused games, and it won't have a problem running on switch because the game is nearly entirely made up of mp4 files that change based on your choices Also moistcritikal, jacksepticeye and another youtuber i forgot the name of are acting as the voices for some of the heroes, and the general voice acting in the game is extremely well done, even the youtubers are very good

Telltale-like game with a star studded voice cast. Haven't played yet, but I know it was very well received.

It's very light on actual gameplay like a telltale game, usually consisting of minigames and QTEs, but you play it for the story and presentation, which is extremely well done

DOOM (2016) is widely praised as a successful reboot that captures the 'purity' of the original 1990s games with modern graphics and mechanics. Users frequently highlight its fast-paced 'run and gun' gameplay, incredible soundtrack, and streamlined focus on being an unstoppable demon killer. While it is often compared favorably to its sequel for being less complex, some players find the environments repetitive and certain unskippable story segments frustrating.

Pros

  • Fast, fluid movement and satisfying 'run and gun' combat mechanics.
  • Exceptional, adrenaline-pumping soundtrack that defines the game's atmosphere.
  • Streamlined gameplay that avoids the forced weapon-switching of its sequel, Eternal.
  • Excellent technical optimization and high-quality arena shooter level design.

Cons

  • Unskippable dialogue and story sequences that can break the gameplay flow.
  • Repetitive environments, particularly the 'same-y' red dust of Mars levels.
  • Platforming sections can feel clunky or out of place.
  • The campaign can feel like it overstays its welcome in the later stages.

Doom 2016 felt like a very tight experience, perfectly put together, while also letting you use whatever weapon you wanted.

Eternal was fun, but 2016's felt more streamlined and enjoyable.

I’m going to be honest, the OST doesn’t pack the same punch as Doom 2016’s. But it’s still pretty good and get your heart pumping when you are playing.
