Ascend Acoustics vs KEF r3

My likely next speakers will be Phil’s or Ascends. I’ve heard the latter in person and also blown away.

If you got a healthy budget, look at other brands as well, brands like Revel, RBH, Ascend Acoustics, Paradigm, etc...

Speaker wise, RBH, Revel, Ascend Acoustics, Kef, are all great options to look at.

Kef's punch way harder and more defined, they don't distort much at unlistenable volume levels. Clear winner for me, no contest in low region here. ... Very detailed, in your face mids overall. ... bright and lively. Zero EQ needed for my taste.

I have „only“ the non Meta R3 but I love these speakers!

I have kef r3 left and right, and svs ultra evo center. The panning is good

I compared these Kef’s to the R3’s and ended up keeping the R5’s because I got a deal on them, but wish I hadn’t. They sounded as identical as two speakers I’ve ever compared.
