The zmf pads aren't far from the stock sound. Nothing can ever replicate the Hd 600 and their stock pads, but the zmf pads come close. They're actually more comfortable as well and last longer.
I’ve heard many folks speak positively about the pads but also read a few people calling them overly muddy and honky.
I had perforated lambskin pads on my Senny HD6xx for awhile, then I bought perforated suede pads for them. the suede pads lightened up the Bass and seemed to clear up the sound quality, they are ZMF pads. well worth the price of about $70 U.S.
I like mine with the ZMF pads. Adds a bit of weight to them. I probably should put them in my rotation more often, tbh.
