Getting to Yosemite or Zion midday is just CROWDS....
Fly to Vegas and hit the 5 National Parks in southern Utah (Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, Arches) in order then drop down into Arizona and hit Monument Valley,Antelope Canyon+ Horseshoe Bend, Grand Canyon on your way back to Vegas.
I did a backpacking trek in Zion this past Oct when the gov was shut down and everything was running smoothly.

From there, do Moab, Capital Reef, Bryce and Zion. If you have not done this section of the world, you are missing out and it makes no sense to drive all this way and miss these areas.
Maybe 2-3 days California, 2-ish days Arizona (grand canyon, flagstaff, up to Page), 4-5 days Utah (Bryce/Zion/don't forget about Arches if you have time!) 2-3 days Vegas/St George Utah.
