Pros

  • Shocking how many people are running DDR4 at 2133MHz on a 3600 kit. Check Task Manager → Performance → Memory → Speed right now.
  • But either way, 9/10 times it works with no issues when enabling expo :-)
  • Just enable it, it will almost certainly work just fine, especially withe the latest bios.
  • The average PC user should enable their XMP/EXPO profile in their BIOS, and you can disable unwanted programs from running on startup on the "Startup apps" tab in Task Manager.

  • XMP\EXPO wont make your PC explode, it vont overvolt your memory past safe limits\frequencyes :) You may get random instability or crashes if it gets too high frequency or too low CLs, but thats easily fixable by... disableing xmp\expo...
  • You do have to keep in mind that XMP/Expo are overclocks and they're not guaranteed to work.
  • If you have XMP/EXPO enabled start by disabling that.
  • Try it, you can always just disable it if it's unstable
  • XMP/EXPO ON → verify fails immediately
