I think Poland in general is underrated IMO, I went to Wroclaw and it was cute
Wroclaw was slightly better cause it's more touristy, but Katowice felt like we were inconveniencing people just by being there.
I've been only to Wroclaw and Warsaw, and my experience was the opposite. I mean, service was many times cold when there were lots of people, but any other time people were friendly an I never had any trouble chatting.

Alternatively, I can recommend Poland. Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Warsaw, Lodz, and Poznan are all truly beautiful cities.
5 nights in Wrocław is a lot, I went for a weekend and thought that 3 days was great as it’s very small.
But if you don't mind spending most of the day on the train and not much in the city,Gdansk and Wroclaw are both very interesting.
