Worm I think is the only superhero/villain where it works better in its written format; it would be much more difficult to depict Taylor’s bug-sense through comic panels than it would through narration and description.

Anyone who hasn't read Worm absolutely needs to. Best superhero setting I've seen.

But a good example would be Taylor in Worm when Leviathan shows up. It's basically a low level superhero story suddenly confronted by Godzilla, and many characters who seemed important don't survive.

Worm by Wildbow- a superhero web serial that is captivating from start to finish. Bleak at times but I was so invested that I barely noticed while reading. It's intelligent, fun, and a hell of a ride.

Taylor Hebert in Worm has the power of total insect control in approximately a 3 block radius. This is an amazing power for surveillance and taking out normals, but at first glance it doesn't seem like it would be that useful against many of more durable powers. However, Taylor's creativity (and brutality) allows her to come up with more and more uses for her powers until eventually she's one of the most feared "capes" around.

The parahumans setting of Wildbow AKA John Mccrae (Worm, Ward). Because it's a superhero setting, not entirely horror, but there are lots of horrific aspects to the setting that I would like to see front and center.

I can't recommend the free web novel WORM enough. In terms of scope, complex and memorable cast, unique powers, breathless pacing, mature handling of sensitive themes, and world building, it is absolutely tops.
