• Workaway and similar pages can be useful. Also it's easier to make new friendship with people you are working with the whole day, rather than just random interactions.
• Check out workaway and woofing. Volunteering for accommodation/food depending on the setup. Stick to ones with good reviews.
• Look on apps like workaway, and couchsurfing. like you can get roundtrip tickets from man-lagos for $700 then youll have $800 to spend.
• Best option is to use Workaway or Helpx or woofing sites to get place to volunteer. There you can find place to stay and meal in exchange for 15-20 hour a week work.
