Wild Turkey 101 70th Anniversary Anniversary Release

They did a good job with this release. To me it’s like a slightly elevated combination of WT 101 and Eagle Rare

Parent context: How does it compare to regular 101? Or even rare breed in your opinion? Reply: I would say that it ranks above regular 101 as a more refined product, giving it more oak and citrus on the palate. A better wild turkey 101 is what this is.

Parent context: My brother and I picked this up at Total Wine while on vacation in FL. Much better than a 6.5 IMO. Reply: Congrats on scoring this offering, I love this bottle! I agree with you that it is a great bottle but I wouldn’t put it above other offerings like Old Forester 1924, Knob Creek 12, or other products in that similar proof and age range.

The age and thoughtfulness of the blend shows on this product. A well rounded spicy and sweet Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey for Jimmy Russell’s 70th Anniversary is great!
