Parent context: Portal 2 is a good idea, I’ve been on Where Winds Meet game to learn Chinese too, but their localization is not great especially with poetic phrases. Reply: What do you mean? Where Winds Meet is a Chinese game unlike Portal 2

To anyone considering playing this, do yourself a favour and don’t play it in English. You’re gonna be reading subtitles most of the time anyway and the Chinese VA is better in pretty much every way.

I just don’t see why I’d play a poorly optimised chinese mmorpg with systems on top of systems on top of systems.

One of the things that made me stop is how many goddamn systems there are. I’ve played for 3 or 4 hours and I’m still lost in the menus, sub-menus, and sub-sub-menus. Also I broke my ankle and couldn’t sprint anymore, so I went to the medic npc and she couldn’t heal me? And I needed to leave solo and go online to find real players to heal me? Hell no. And also the progression in terms of damage feels almost nonexistent to me even after upgrading my max level, 2 weapons, the equipment slots, the weapon slots, the talents, the whatever else they came up with.

I played the intro just because of how much it was discussed online and it was just a janky mess with terrible UI, ugly face animations, AI jank, countless currencies and inventory fillers…

I wish I could skip all cutscenes and dialogue. It's fucking rough.

each system has menu upon submenu that makes it a chore to figure out what you’re upgrading and how to get in and out of each menu.

Played it on PC for two hours and it was a janky mess like most other wuxia games on the market.

Release a better PS5 version, please 😭 It’s extremely laggy. I also hope they’ll add better ways to find missing oddities, because it’s not fun to double-check every location. We also need better translations — I can’t understand what the heavy dialogue quests are supposed to mean.
