Watership Down

Watership Down. An oldie, but it's a book I read every couple of years and I get something different out of it each time.

Watership Down is my favorite and is such good comfort reading for me. It's just such a solid adventure story.

I've been worshipping *WATERSHIP DOWN* by Richard Adams for fifty years. I honestly feel that it's unique in world literature, a subgenre of one. There's literally and figuratively never been anything that comes close to its astonishing beauty of writing, character, mood, theme, and plot

I didn’t expect a novel about rabbits to hit this hard. It’s adventure, myth, politics, fear, leadership, friendship—all wrapped in something that feels ancient and alive. I reread it every few years and it still holds up.

Watership Down,

It’s a classic for a reason - it’s really good. My favorite parts were the rabbit legends that were interspersed throughout, but there’s also the lovely descriptions of the English countryside and the surprising amount of character Adams is able to instill in his rabbits (and birds and cats and rats).

My all time favorite is Watership Down.

An unusual rec, but I think *Watership Down* by Richard Adams captures some of the feeling of reading Tolkien.
