Warbreaker

Pros

• I personally started with Warbreaker but other suggested entry points is Tress of the Emerald Sea, Yumi and the Nightmare Painter, and Mistborn the Final Empire.
• There are a lot of standalones in Sanderson’s other works. Yumi, Warbreaker and Tress are all really solid.
• Warbreaker has a growing relationship to eventual love part
• For an entertaining and twisty standalone that's a great intro to his various fantasy series, check out Warbreaker, filled with creative magic and world building, interesting characters, and no need to commit to a big series.

• Although I do think Sanderson’s “””banter””” is on full display with Lightsong and Blushweaver, which hampers Warbreaker significantly.
• On the other hand, people kept praising Warbreaker, so I had high expectations, and ended up disappointed.

• plot summary sounded great, but way too many plot twists around who was a bad guy or not. Just give me a real villain to hate please and thank you.
