Avoid Omonoia, Victoria, Metaxourgheio, Attiki (around the metro station), maybe Exarcheia too but it's a popular area despite being a bit sketchy. All these areas are close to each other, and they're not "dangerous" per se, just quite poor, and drug addiction is rampant there.
