As cringey as Colleen Hoover is, I 2nd Verity since it’s soo easy to get hooked and fly through. It got me out of a reading slump too a few years ago
I mean most of the thriller books I get my hands on turn out to be pretty predictable. Like The Housemaid because I had read Verity even The Girl on the Train has similar plot twist.
Other partner recommended Verity. I read it and hated it, husband did not read it.
