Firstly, I'd recommend updating [to the v217 firmware]. It's only available through manually updating via USB but it will make a big difference. It will also change some available modes, including adding filmmaker mode.

I noticed significant improvements after updating my TCL C7K 75 to firmware v560 — many improvements, actually. Before that, I was quite disappointed with the image quality and motion handling. Everything looked very artificial and blurred, even after applying all the best-recommended settings for each picture mode. With v560, this changed a lot. Image processing and motion handling improved noticeably, and I really started to enjoy the TV’s picture quality.
However, after updating yesterday to v590 via OTA, even though I felt that image processing and motion may have improved slightly more, I ended up noticing a loss of definition and sharpness. The image looked softer and more blurred, even with 4K HDR or Dolby Vision content.
The .15 firmware is a know issue with the 750 and 850 series

Parent context: Won't the 751G have the 2024 firmware pre-installed if it's the 2024 model? Reply: I installed the 201 last week and things seem to be running smoothly, except for one thing. HDR and Dolby work no problem on Netflix and Disney+...but on Amazon Prime the HDR 10 and Dolby doesn't kick on now. I'm not sure if its a bug within the 201 update or a bug within Prime.
I just tried downgrading it to an older firmware, v486, but that's still the newer looking interface and still has the ARC issue. So, 486 is broken for me, as is v509 and v534.

I feel that the arc issues with 509 extend beyond this. I am still getting delayed audio on some TV apps to my soundbar.
