Ubiquiti UniFi U6

Pros

• The U6 I have run fine.
• I returned them both and bought u6+ that was at discount at the time. Even though it has much lower theoretical max i get consistent 750mbit down and 900mbit up on all my devices.
• I have this exact setup with U6.
• Probably a UCG-Ultra, a Lite 8 PoE switch and then U6+ and or U6 In Wall APs.
• If not, the U6+ is a great budget option.

Cons

• It doesn’t recommend either the U6+ or the U7 Pro as they have an inferior chipset.
• stick to the u6-pro’s instead of the low-end u6+ (only has 2x2 5Ghz vs 4x4 on the better models
• The U6+ would be my 2nd choice if your budget doesn't allow for the U6 Pro. It has less range due to less power, has less speed and a MediaTek chipset in comparison to the excellent Qualcomm chipset in the U6 Pro.
• U6+ AP plugged to the UDM, placed in the middle of the basement on the ceiling ... WiFi performance is worst than with the old Orbi! e.g. on an old iPad we get constant network warning when playing an online game (Brawl stars), while it...
