Ubiquiti UniFi E7

Pros

• Even if your netgear outperformed the E7 in signal strength to a single client, it definitely won’t be able to support as many devices or as much bandwidth.
• I did 3 E7s (plus 3 U7 Pro to cover garage, guest house, and basement playroom) for a 2 story 15k house. E7s cover the main floor quite well!
• I put up a E7 on the ceiling of the middle floor offset to one side. I have good signal everywhere in the house and am able to get at least 600 Mb/sec. Super easy install into a junction box.
• Compared to my U7 pm, 6ghz on the E7 is massively improved with AFC enabled. I now have 6ghz through my entire house. Wifi speeds in my top corner bedroom, through 2 layers of drywall and a wood floor, went from 400-500mbps on 5ghz on th...

• Joking aside, I’m with you. The E7’s light is worse than the standard APs.
• Parent context: That’s absurd for an AP imho. Those last few generations seem very power hungry to me. Reply: Under load I’ve heard it goes to 30W+. It’s totally obscene lol.
• It’s not. I have two of them and wish I knew what I now know about MLO.
