Turin DF83V

Pros

• Something like the Philos or df83v with espresso burrs would be great all around I'm sure.
• But for value and availability, I would get the DF83V with SSP.
• bought the DF83 and really likes that for medium and light roast. He uses his NZ for dark. He mentioned hearing about quality concerns on the DF64 but has had the DF83 for a year with no problems.
• You can buy a Mazzer Philos, Timemore 078s, even a DF64 or 83 would be very nice grinders.
• I have a df83 v2. I upgraded the chute and put mazzer 151 burrs in. You’d be pushed to beat the quality of the shot.

Cons

• My choice was Manus S which is E61 HX machine and I have DF54 grinder but I will upgrade to DF83V or similar grinder.
• Df83 - lots of quality control issues. Messy workflow. Pass.
• If you prefer single dosing, I’d go for a DF83v or a Timemore 078s.
