Trogir

The harbour at Trogir is gorgeous and there's usually live music at the weekend.

In Split’s vicinity, Trogir is also notable and can be reached by city buses (though some traffic jams are to be expected on that route).

Not too much at all! You can also do a day trip to Trogir and one to Krka and Sibenik.

Croatia, we loved being based between Trogir and Split (we were in Kastel Luksic). Both very nice cities, and there’s a beach and boulevard with some cafés. Near Trogir is also Otok Ciovo, with amazing bays with crystal clear water.

Trogir has a really nice and historically interesting old town, and beaches nearby.

My favourite towns are Rovinj, Trogir, Korčula, Hvar.

If you do have a car, then I would not stay in Split. The city is nice and beautiful but it is not where I would stay if I want to relax and lay on a beach. Stay in Omis or Trogir instead and do a day trip to Split.

Tara national park in western part of Serbia, I would do Šibenik or zadar in Croatia, Trogir as well which is very close to split and doesn’t take long to visit.

Trogir is easily accessible by bus, as are lots of interesting islands by ferry.
