Tom Lake

Pros

• I enjoyed the book and Ms. Streep's narration. Her 'Meryl Streep-ness' disappeared into the story and the characters for me.
• I loved this audiobook so much. Her narration is just perfect.
• Tom lake (Ann) is my favorite of hers too.
• I came across it highly reviewed and had a hold placed at the library for quite some time. It was still worth it!
• I'm currently listening to Meryl Streep read Tom Lake. Both of them have wonderful voices that draw me in.

Cons

• I love Ann Patchett. I didn’t love Tom Lake. Even Meryl Streep couldn’t save it.
• I couldn't get into it, wasn't enjoying the narration. I might try it again another time, maybe.... could just be I wasn't in the mood for it.
• I found I only got through the first few chapters because of her narration but ultimately gave up on the book because I found it so boring.
• She is doing an excellent job with the narration. However, because I am so familiar with her voice, I am finding it distracting. I can't imagine the mail character in my head as anyone other than Meryl Streep. For some reason it's keepin...
• although I didn't love Tom Lake by her, I did really like her writing style so I'm excited to try her other books.
