I own a brainbag and love the comfort of their straps.
The Tom Bihn Brain Bag was designed for that. I would use the existing laptop compartment and just add a padded sleeve for the second laptop.
The material, comfortability factor, size, weight, easy use of fasteners and durability. The classic chonky #10 too zips are a dream. Dual main compartments that can share space are masterclass. It can fit easily under seat when under-packed or carry a week+ groceries easily. Looks rugged yet somehow professional.
