Through the Desert

Through The Desert - Might be one of the most elegant games I've played. Super simple rules, but extremely cutthroat.

If you want a ~1 hour strategy game for 5 players, I'm fond of **Through the Desert**, **It's a Wonderful World**, **Ra**, and **EGO - Extraterrestrial Greeting Organization**

Through the Desert is a tile laying game that works at 2-5p.

**Through the Desert** (a tile-laying game, existing in the same genre as games like Patchwork) - one of my all-time favorite euro games. Elegant design, endless replay value, great at any player count.

You might also want to look into Through the Desert... The rules are very simple, but the game is highly strategic.

Through the Desert is currently in print, and you place camels on a board to score points in a few different ways (e.g. area control, route building). The game is light on rules, but has a ton of replayability.
