The Silmarillion

Pros

• I have the books plus the Silmarillion, I’m planning on reading those, just haven’t got around to it yet.
• I also recently received a really nice copy of The Silmarillion and finally pulled the trigger on it, I can't believe I used to be so intimidated by it, it’s fantastic.
• The Silmarillion and the Fall of Numenor
• I was able to tear through advanced books in elementary school such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, the entire LoTR trilogy, and even The Silmarillion and test perfectly on them.
• The Silmarillion is another 10/10 book that scratched a similar itch for me.

Cons

• Parent context: I tried silmarillion a few times but just couldn't do it Reply: It’s like the Iliad to me. Just a boat load of difficult names.
• That book is ***DEEEENSE*** and while it has an incredible story, it's just as good hearing it secondhand from those of us who could bear getting through it.
