Pros
- Recon (and very similar Borealis) are high quality, immensely flexible, and will do a good job for almost anyone doing almost anything, all at a very reasonable (not cheap) price.
- The Recon and The Borealis are both great bags and are very similar. It depends on whether or not you like the cording on the Borealis.
- Another vote for Borealis. ... I really miss the Borealis in some areas. In some I don't. But it's a very solid backpack. I would say that, if your laptop fits, you can't really go wrong with it. It's a solid and balanced backpack that i...
- my wife North Face Borealis. It worked so well walking through Venice, Paris, Rome, trains, planes, sprinting through airports
- No one fakes that backpack. Not sure why you would even think that. Condition is nice.

- North Face Borealis
- I've had the North Face Borealis for an embarrassing amount of time (10+ years). It's literally fraying. I don't like the look of the new Borealis and I'm not crazy about the general egg shape a lot of backpacks have these days.
- Parent context: What's wrong with the Borealis? Reply: I just don’t like it personally and wouldn’t wear it to school

Borealis is a shitty designed backpack if you ask me and I don’t understand how it still is so popular. It’s unfortunately shaped narrow at the bottom widening towards the top but the front pocket is also at the top half so if you fill that one you can’t even access the bottom of the backpack.
