'The Nice Guys' with Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe is an incredibly buddy cop comedy (they aren't really cops but private investigators) that's wrapped in a fun and engaging crime mystery. It's one of my favourite movies of all time, even my Dad loves it and he doesn't laugh out loud at much.

This is one of the (many) reasons I love the movie The Nice Guys. In the end >!they get the evidence, stop the bad guys… and then nobody gets punished, because The Auto Industry is just too powerful for two guys to take down on their own.!< The movie is also hilarious and everyone should watch it.

The ongoing gag of Gosling “almost” dying but never actually does is seriously so good. That alone sold the movie for me.
