The Magicians (TV series)

Pros

• I found The Magicians in a thrift store. I hadn't heard anything about it or the TV series before. I loved it.
• All those shows have been solid, so I have some excitement that he can handle the show and keep it going on a great path.

Cons

• I know one of the other big names in the subgenre is The Magicians, and while I haven't read it, I did watch the first season of the show and it didn't pique my interest
• Yeah my main issue with the magicians is that it felt like it was trying WAY too hard to be the edgy Narnia/Harry Potter (which in theory sounds cool but it leaned into those narratives too hard) plus the characters were just really hard...
• Unpopular opinion but I really disliked the magicians so it’s kind of turned me off of Lev Grossman
• Books that were meh / I did *not* like: ... The Magicians
• Probably not your thing, but maybe The Magicians. The first few episodes are not representative of the series as a whole. Another love it or hate it series.
