The Locked Tomb

I have to give a shout to my two favorite SFF series of all time: The Locked Tomb by Tamsyn Muir and The Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb.

I recommend *The Locked Tomb* trilogy by Tamsyn Muir... Fabulous series though, and is dark/ grim while also being pretty funny, and gorgeously written. It starts with *Gideon the Ninth.*

Fantasy, I've really enjoyed the locked tomb(tamsyn muir) and the bone witch (rin chupeco). They are all trad pub with proper editing.

Have you tried The Locked Tomb by Tamsyn Muir? Because  >bizarre, pathetic, selfish, obsessive, funny, metaphysical, monstrous, foolish, theatrical, morally strange describes the main characters, Gideon and Harrowhark, pretty well.

The Poppy War and The Locked Tomb should both be in there somewhere as 2010s/2020s crossovers

The way I’ve seen it described (and I think accurately, as someone who’s loved all 3 books) is each one is told by the perspective of the person least suited to do so. I think it’s part of the series’ charm

Harrowhark Nonagesimus from The Locked Tomb I love this type of protagonist. Extremely good at what they do, probably angry at the world, and a little emotionally stunted and unlikeable.
