The Fall of Hyperion

Pros

• While Fall of Hyperion wasn't quite at the same level, it was amazing in its own right.
• I loved it. I liked the change in storytelling. And the way all the pilgrims stories were revealed to be interwoven was really well done.

Cons

• I thought the resolutions to a lot of mysteries were very unsatisfying
• I still love Hyperion but Fall definitely made me reconsider it a bit.
• I preferred the second book over the first, though I thought both were masterpieces. But I totally see where you're coming from. The book itself is really a hot mess of ambition and storylines and concepts and themes and so on so forth
• It worked for me. I wasn't absolutely blown away the way I was with the first book, but I didn't register disappointment or frustration at any point.
• The second book felt like a convoluted mess. I appreciate the ambition but it becomes so scattered and confusing.
