The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Pros

• I do think that something closer to Skyrim's exploration - maybe even Oblivion/Morrowind - is the sweetspot for big open world games like this.
• I really loved this one. Way more than Skyrim tbh
• It’s one of the best games I’ve ever played right up there with Deus Ex, Morrowind, Oblivion etc.
• I've been playing Oblivion with an audiobook playing on earbuds and the game sound on over-ear headphones.
• I have not felt like this about a video game since crawling out of the prison in Bethesda's Oblivion and discovering a sprawling world rife with adventure and nature.

Cons

• I guess Oblivion and Skyrim were alright but there hasn't been a true leap in the tech for a veeery long time.
• After the oblivion remaster....I don't really care. Oblivion still runs like shit.
• This reminds me of how in oblivion the first time you venture in.. the general guy “trapped” in the cage is like “YOU HAVE TO GO ON WITHOUT ME…” When his cage is literally made of ladders with no top or spikes…..
• Yeah playing KCD in September it’s like just oblivion with harder combat and fallout new vegas’s survival elements. Not exactly innovative stuff
• People forget Demon's Souls was the result of Sony paying From Software for an RPG that could compete with the at that time 360 exclusive, Oblivion.
