Pros
- I think the Crew does a much better job of making each mission feel different/unique, especially when they add in the tokens that specify “you have to complete this task first, then that task second, etc.” which can really make it compli...
- Deep Sea. The deck gives much more replayability, you can inrease the difficulty by upping the number of cards.
- You can buy the base game (The Quest for Planet Nine), or the Mission Deep Sea version. They are indipendent of each other. They mostly differ through theme (one is space, and the other is underwater), but people seem to slightly prefer...
- I think longterm Deep Sea is better and more repeatable however.
- More interesting mission combos: The variety sometimes produces really creative setups that make you think in new ways. ... That makes Deep Sea great for one-off sessions or casual play.
Cons
- The Deep Sea one can be really unforgiving because of thr new goal cards.

Deep Sea definitely has more variety in the tasks but the difficulty depends a lot on the task combination and some combinations are not even possible. Sometimes we needed 5 tries for a mission because the task combination was so hard, moved on to the next level and completed that on the first try because the task combination was quite easy. That felt less rewarding sometimes.
If you want a variety of tasks, Deep Sea is better. It literally has a ton, 96 of them if I counted correctly.
Deap sea is just the updated version and strictly better. I do not know why anyone would prefer the first one.
To me the the greater variety in objectives make Mission Deep Sea a richer experience and one I'm more likely to repeatedly.
