Personally, I can recommend: - The Bear and the Nightingale (fantasy with strong fairy tale vibes, follows a young woman in a medieval Russian village. I highly recommend reading this one around Christmas/wintertime :))

In years past I’ve read A Christmas Carol, The Hogfather, Krampus: The Yule Lord, The Bear and the Nightingale (haven’t read the rest of the Winternight books though, do they hold up?)

I really enjoyed the Bear and the Nightingale and have read the series (first book was best).

The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden, it's a trilogy and superb. Gorgeous writing, lots of fun to read. The main character goes through some really hard stuff but there is always brightness and optimism, and something that makes you smile.
