TCL C6K

The TCL C6K (known as the QM6K in North America) is generally regarded as a solid entry-level television that offers surprisingly good contrast and color accuracy for its price point. While some users dismiss it as a basic budget option, others praise its "OLED-like" black levels and vibrant picture. However, the experience is marred for some by technical inconsistencies, including poor HDMI CEC performance and occasional screen blackouts during gaming.
Pros
- Deep black levels and high contrast for an LCD panel
- Accurate and vibrant color reproduction out of the box
- Low input lag and adequate performance for console gaming (PS5)
- Decent peak brightness (600-800 nits) for its class
Cons
- Unreliable HDMI CEC handshaking with external soundbars
- Reports of the screen going black for several seconds during gameplay
- Filmmaker mode can result in a duller image that some users find unappealing
- Perceived as a significant step down from higher-tier models like the C805
Caveats
- Identified as the QM6K in the North American market
- Users are divided on whether it is better or worse than the C7K; some prefer the C6K's colors despite lower overall specs
- Mention of specific complaints regarding units in the Indian market
Best for
- Budget-conscious buyers seeking better-than-average contrast
- Casual gamers looking for a low-latency display
- Users who want a natural-looking picture without complex calibration
Avoid if
- You rely heavily on HDMI CEC for soundbar control
- You are looking for a premium HDR experience
- You have the budget to step up to the TCL C8 series

The C6K is noticeably worse on paper and so are things like 99% of Samsung and LG LCDs, or the Sony Bravia 5, some of which are actually noticeably more expensive.
the common consensus is that it's worse than the C805.
C6k average.better c7k
Quite a few things are i.proved on the newer models plus the sound and panel is better too. Just watch reviews but I'd go for c6k or c7k
C6k of course
Parent context: Since you have a c6k do you find the TV's performance to be adequate during the dark scenes? Reply: Yes its adequate for me. There can be some minor blooming visible specially in a dark room but its not jarring.
Yes, I have 55 C6K. My speakers and TV do it 5 to 10 mins after turning on but only once.
The biggest difference for me is peak brightness the c7k crosses 1K nits while the c6k dones't.
the C6K is good don't get me wrong but the step up to C7K is still noticeable
The Q70R has a contrast of 8000:1 and around 50 local dimming zones, the C6K has 118000:1 contrast and over 300 dimming zones, it is definitely NOT better than the C6K
