I liked Tangier a lot, and I *really* loved Essaouira. If you get a chance to go back, that’s a place that should be visited.

Were then taking a train up to Tangier for 2 nights, same thing, room less than 170/Night, food relatively cheap....
But I'll possibly use this chance to also visit Tangier since it seems like a convenient day trip and a good chance to check out a different continent!

For example, my favorite dish was in Tangier, my favorite cultural experience was in Rabat, and my favorite night was strolling around Jemaa El Fna. While of course, the coolest architectural structure I came across was in Casa. Would I do it over again? I’m not sure. I liked Tangier and wish I spent more time there but when I consider the people I met and the stories I have in each city, I absolutely think it was worth it.
