Takoboto

Pros

• Having used tools like 10ten Reader, jisho.org, takoboto, Akebi and more. I have really become attached to the dictionary that is included in all of these and more.
• I use a Japanese dictionary app on my phone (specifically Takoboto) and the Google Keyboard plugin that lets me draw kanji with my finger. That way, I'm not only able to look it up quickly, but I get writing practice every time I do.
• Upvote for Takoboto. I'll pull it up during my work briefings and write down words and save them to my favorite list. That's how I've been able to pick up words.
• I found that I could only really retain new words if I have a little more context - be it additional definitions on Jisho/Takoboto
• your best best for creating cards with furigana is either to manually input the furigana, or export your words from a program like KanjiStudy, Takoboto, jidoujishou yomitan

Cons

• Parent context: The fact that in multiple places, it doesn't point to the correct verb (食らう) Reply: I don't know what takoboto is. And for the life of me I can't figure out what you are trying to point out with this screenshot.
• Takoboto is an offline japanese dictionary, that i'm using because, once again, my ISP is shitty, and it just had this sentence, which got butchered up.
• Frustrated with Windows dictionary apps: Takoboto, Jisho, goo and other freebies, For example, I enter the following : あるける where the output varies from gibberish to "can't be found."
• I found ヒヨッコ on takoboto only after removing ッ. The forms are ひよこ, 雛, ひよっこ, ヒヨコ. In the examples ヒヨコ is used. Why no ヒヨッコ?
• These tools like Takoboto or other "grammar analysis" or "sentence breakdown" features are not infallible. They can make mistakes, especially with sentences that have contractions, idiomatic expressions, words written in kana that might...
