Pros

  • Adding a recommendation for Tag Team. Plays fairly quickly, great artwork, doesn't demand a lot of table space. Seems like it would be a great lunchtime option.
  • I have 5 unmatched boxes and tag team too. Just put up a lot of our games for sale yesterday They are staying.
  • I think Tag Team is worth it, mostly because it's not that expensive. You get 10 fighters for less than the cost of a 3 character box of Unmatched. Unmatched is a simple game, but this is even simpler, but still very fun to me.
  • Have and love both. They don't really scratch the same itch for me.
  • I like Tag Team a lot (played probably 5-6 times).

Cons

  • had hit reviews, tried it. wasn't sure i was even playing a game. didn't like it enough for it to stay.

Tag Team is also simultaneous card play, so you have the similar yomi as fighting games & BattleCON, but TT does away with distance/spacing (and TT is playable on boardgamearena)

Tag team, battle of hoth, abyss legions, lost lumina , Forest Folk. All great games that can be played in around 30mins or less. All fab and well worth checking out .

Really unique characters, each with wildly different play styles... Each turn plays faster/smoother than compile due to a less complex decision space... It's easier to teach, and easier to "just push buttons" and see what happens... Excellent rule book, with a second, separate rule book for how each fighter works, with examples and edge cases.

Tag Team is a lot easier to just pick and play. It's beer and pretzels card battler with thematic characters
