If the game is actually complete, then the publisher is being greedy and delaying the game to avoid a payout. If the game is a mess, then the developers are being greedy and rushing a shitty product to get a payout.
Parent context: This is the first I'm hearing of this side, the big headline yesterday was that Krafton is delaying Subnautica 2 Early Access to next year when the devs in question said that the game is ready to go now, this delay means they certainly will not rech their goal, thus the 250 million bonus won't be paid out to any of the employees. Reply: I'm taking neither side because I don't play krafton games lol, the last one was TERA and thats before they namechanged to krafton.

I don't really give a shit what side is "right" or "wrong" or "less wrong" or whatever, I just want Subnautica 2 to be good.
All I know is that it's way too early to commit to boycotting the game or pirating the game or especially buying the game.
As it stands, Do not buy this game. The devs are getting paid salary so do not worry about them.
