I used Storytel for years, but I found more and more that the books I wanted to listen to weren't available, or not available in the language I wanted to listen in. It's also not actually "all you can eat" listening as the VP put it... Unless you pay extra for "unlimited" it's either 20 or 100 h per month. Besides, their suggestions algorithm suuucks.
Neither of those can do apps though so if you want to use some subscription app (like Storytel), or if a particular library uses their own proprietary app, then an Android device might be needed.

I'm presently a Storytel subscriber. If it's DRM-free purchases, and it's books that aren't covered by the streaming options, I could be persuaded. Otherwise I'll stick to platforms with no DRM, or where I can break it easily when buying books, and keep Storytel around as long as streaming has a good selection.
I'm kind of annoyed honestly, the whole reason I use storytel over audible is because I don't want to purchase individual books on top of a subscription cost.
