Pros

  • On the Staten Island Ferry you can see it from a distance and it’s a quick pass but you’ll be stuck on the ferry for an hour round trip. The only time the Staten Island Ferry gets exciting is the view when its reaches lower Manhattan.
  • Cheap way to see the Statue of Liberty is just take the Staten Island Ferry round trip. Don’t even get off at Staten Island just cruise right back.
  • The Staten Island ferry is free and definitely do that.
  • Met Museum, Top of the Rock (observation deck), a city food tour (if you love food) or any day tour that interest you, take the ferry to Staten Island to see the statue of liberty and the NYC skyline from a different perspective. There i...

Cons

  • Staten Island Ferry is a bit of a time suck. I would absolutely skip it. You will be able to see the Statue of Liberty from Top of the Rock (albeit she will be miniscule).

Met Museum, Top of the Rock (observation deck), a city food tour (if you love food) or any day tour that interest you, take the ferry to Staten Island to see the statue of liberty and the NYC skyline from a different perspective. There is so much to do, these were some of my favorites.
