SQlab OpSix

Pros

• I'd sell everything except Push, Opsix and maybe one of the Elektron boxes.
• i use my opsix for industrial a lot. Front 242, Nine Inch Nails and others opted for FM because it can give a lot of harsh metallic sounds
• If I had to do it again, I'd try Opsix instead for FM, or the Multi/Poly.
• Korg really knocked it out of the park with the Wavestate/Opsix/Modwave, they're all such deep and unique synth engines with a ton going for them.
• Opsix is really deep as well and in some ways out performs the wavestate IMO but it's limited by being monotimbral, on top of FM it can be a 6 osc VA synth and blend ring mod/wavefolding/waveshaping for some really unique sounds.

Cons

• As someone with the hardware opsix and wavestate native I really wish they'd added some features from the latter to the opsix like being able to save FX as separate presets within patches & all the great filter modes.
• Or can a large keyboard like this be muted on one side and only output to midi to synthesizer module like the OPSIX for accompaniment?
• Opsix is decent, though as others have said, the build quality is not the best.
• I find the opsix to be very immediate for a synth with such depth, and it's way more advanced than the MegaFM. Only negative of the opsix is the keyboard, which is pretty cheap feeling.
• I really like the OpSix a lot. It's the first time I feel like I really understand what's going on with FM synthesis. The hands-on sliders really make it in my view and I find my time with it is rewarding. On the downside, the keys feel...
