Spec Ops: The Line

Pros

• i think either way it's also just a strong anti-war story that is enjoyable to experience (even with mediocre gameplay).
• I enjoyed the game a lot. I'm not saying it's a narrative masterpiece(it's merely good, imo), but as an anti-war piece of media, it IS pretty unique.
• Its one of the example of game is art. Rarely there is game that fully use its mechanic to enforce its theme.
• Spec Ops: The Line is a great game. It's not perfect, but is unique in his own way
• The game's "brilliance" is that it forces you the player to reflect on the horrors of war that you are responsible for as a player.

Cons

• In the modern context, the message doesn’t work and isn’t enjoyable imo.
• I liked the story a lot but really hated the actual gameplay so I couldn't get into it.
• Spec Ops: The Line is far from perfect. The combat is repetitive, the AI isn't great, and on a surface level, it really does look like a bargain-bin military shooter. But there’s nothing else quite like it.
• *The Lion King* is *Hamlet* and *Spec Ops: The Line* is *Heart of Darkness*
• The gameplay itself felt very dated and the story wasn't enough to paper over that shortcoming. I went in with some high expectations, which probably didn't help, but I found myself just waiting for it to be over with.
