Pros

  • I have been really happy with SoFi as well. Also, if OP is interested in investing (Roth IRAs or individual stocks) their investing platform is really easy to use too.
  • Sofi has been a game changer for me. The savings accounts has vaults, which allow me to specify savings goals for things like travel and taxes. Their relay app is also similar to mint.com and helpful for busldgetting.
  • I am using sofi banking and they match 1% on investments which isnt much but free money is kind of fun.
  • You're a great candidate for a simple 2-3% flat cashback card like the Fidelity visa, SoFi, or Robinhood gold cards.
  • You could also take out a personal loan with sofi if the rates are competitive against the APR you have on the cards. For example, I got a 11% loan from them when my APR was close to 30%. Seeing all my cards get paid off and have one pay...

Cons

  • Ally, SoFi, Capital One… they’re all pretty similar. You’ll get like 3-3.6% lately. I think my SoFi is 3.3% (just dropped from 3.4)
  • I am looking at a personal loan through SoFi or am wondering if doing a balance transfer would be more beneficial.
  • My HYSA is with SoFi because at the time I was getting a 4% APY, but they've kept dropping it which is really annoying.
  • I am planning to move out from SoFi after so many years and how awful dispute was for me and just thinking I need something new/better. I used to like their vault system but the changed UI is annoying for me.
  • 1.5-2% Catch All Card (PNC, Fidelity, SoFi, WF Active Cash, Citi Double Cash, Chase Freedom Unlimited, C1 Quicksilver)

I have heard good things about Ally, SoFi, and Marcus.

their checking and savings accounts are very solid. Similar to Alliant, you can do unlimited withdrawals from savings, and so you can pay your bills out of there and earn a little extra in interest.
