Pros
- Brands to look into: Neewer, Ulanzi, Godox, SmallRig
- Smallrig one will do
- Yeah I use the Smallrig ones. I have usb-c out from the battery into USB on the camera, and then d-tap out from the battery for the monitor. Used this same combo with same cables on all 3. I guess this means my others are also likely to...
Cons
- SmallRig is a brand I'd trust for low-risk parts (cages) or items that I always have multiple of with me (batteries), but tripods or heads aren't on that list.
- I like the colors, nice to see something different than just black, but I’ve had enough bad experiences with their equipment that I’ll never buy anything from them again
- I like the brand but they love to throw their name on everything, and the placement is becoming annoying.
- Smallrig stuff has gotten worse since spending more of their budget on marketing with influencers (just my speculation)
- So Im thinking about buying one but I wanted to know about your experiences with them, especially the ones for Backpacks and which Brand makes the better ones Smallrig or Falcam or a another one?

I guess this means my others are also likely to fry at some point but 2 out of 3 have been going fine for 2 years now
Look up Wooden Camera, SmallRig or Mid49 and see if there is a quick release / dovetail adapter to use in combination with that QR.
Been looking for one that isn’t smallrig
