I once stayed at an AirBNB and as I was looking through the host's books I came across a signed first edition of Slaughterhouse Five.
I feel like Slaughterhouse-Five is one of his weaker books, honestly. I don't feel like it captures his biting humor as totally as something like *Cat's Cradle* does. ... the sci-fi elements (that work so well in his other books) were just way out of touch for me. It took me right out of the narrative.
Slaughterhouse-Five is definitely more re-readable. Helped me get through the grief of a couple deaths in my family.
