Skullcandy Aviator 900

The foam on the Aviator 900’s ear cups feels like it’s a better quality memory foam than the Hesh; it does a superior job of moulding around my ears and glasses to create a comfortable seal. I’ve worn both on cross-country flights for roughly 9 hours at a time and I found the Aviator 900 to be the most comfortable.

The biggest selling points for me on the Aviator 900 are the delightful controls, the comfortable ear cups, and just how absurdly cool these headphones look (especially the tortoise version!).

if you’re primarily going to be listening when seated, enjoy more control and clarity in your listening experience, want greater comfort and battery when listening for LONG periods, or just want to fall in love with a great tactile button experience, then you may enjoy the Aviator 900 quite a lot.

The Aviator 900 has a lot of customizability and an over all cleaner sound. When you use Bass Boost on the Aviator 900, it will give you a similar but more polished version of the default you get from the Hesh.

I ADORE the tactile buttons used on the Aviator 900. Hands down, my favorite experience with headphone controls ever. Everything is very responsive, the dial to shift between ANC modes is convenient and pleasing to touch, and the volume/skip joystick has a great feel.

If I am connected to a device upstairs in my 2,000 sq. ft. home and I walk several rooms away and/or go outside to my patio, the Hesh will disconnect when I have too many walls between. The Aviator 900 stayed connected everywhere I went in my house, which is impressive.

Turn them on and you get a quirky “whoosh” sound, turn them off and a realistic, friendly female voice says “See ya!” and that just somehow brightens my day every time.
