I really had fun in Skopje.
I actually like Skopje, but Ohrid tends to be the must see in North Macedonia, but Skopje can be a little out of your way if you're trying to see a good amount of Albania, but Ohrid is just across the lake from Pogradec, Albania, which is worth a short stop.
skopje was the weirdest place i've ever been. 5 days was probably too much but i'm glad we had time to adjust. the whole city center looks like someone built a theme park of classical architecture, then you walk 10 minutes and you're in these chaotic markets that feel completely different.

I was in Skopje a month ago, it is an interesting town but I think they have the ugliest train station in Europe.
I loved lake Ohrid. Skopje is so different and weird that I liked it too, but it is not for a conventional tourist as my wife (she did not liked it).
