Sid Meier's Civilization V

Pros

• My 1060 still plays valheim and civ 5 just fine.
• 5 and 6 are a lot of fun, but 4 is loosely agreed upon as the best so it makes sense you may have been turned off.
• There are very few game endings more satisfying than seeing all your rivals with beat up faces at the end of Civ 3.
• 4 is peak civ, played countless hours of civ 1-3 and then 4 when it came out but have never been able to get into any of the them after 4.
• If you like the Civ series I'd say start with Civ 6 but there are other 4K series out there.

Cons

• When the fifth one came out it felt so dumbed down compared to the last part (with expansions) that I just went back to IV.
• Civ 7 is a terrible entrypoint to the 4K strategy genre because of everything the OP praised it for; it's simply too different from the rest of the genre. That isn't to say it's a bad game just that you should not use it to set your expe...
