- Okay - first off with one negative. That headband is identical to Shure 1540 and is extremely uncomfotable on the exact pinacle of your head where the band seems to magically put huge pressure on a localised spot.

TLDR; 1840s are entirely awesome, they just need a headband cover to spread the pressure. I'd entirely recommend them.
It really opens up a lot of fun stuff to pick up that my Shure 1540 and Seinnheiser 660s don't show. I don't feel the bass is lacking at all, unless you are a total basshead then I guess maybe, but really it feels entirely proportianate and balanced with the rest of the music to me.
The build is also fantastic, they’re indestructible but lean and light.
