Pros
- We have an upright corded shark that does a great job.
- Our Shark upright died after ten years (it did a decent job!)
- At the moment, I own a Shark upright which I have had for a couple of years. If it broke today, I would purchase a Shark upright again, no hesitation. The build quality is excellent, the dust bin is adequate, the suction is unbelievable.
Cons
- We've been using a Shark upright for a decade and we are definitely ready to get a proper vacuum.
- We had sort of been making do with some sticks, and then a more recent Shark upright. But I hate upright vacuums and I miss a good canister.
- We have had an upright shark for 3 years and it does nothing and I've hated it from day 1.
- We have a Shark upright that is dying/near dead. That thing needs replaced bad.
- Our primary vacuum cleaner has been the Dyson cordless while occasionally using an old Shark upright.

Our primary vacuum cleaner has been the Dyson cordless while occasionally using an old Shark upright.
It’s a cheap Shark upright I grabbed a couple years ago for like 100 bucks. Works okay on hardwood, but on rugs, it clogs fast with fur and the brushroll gets tangled, so I’m constantly cutting hair off it.
At the moment, I own a Shark upright which I have had for a couple of years. If it broke today, I would purchase a Shark upright again, no hesitation. The build quality is excellent, the dust bin is adequate, the suction is unbelievable.
We have a Dyson cordless for the stairs and a shark upright for the carpeted bedrooms.
