If you’re looking for a contained story, the first season of Serial is the gold standard. The other seasons are okay: if the non-Adnan cases, I think the Guantanamo season was my favorite.

I think the golden days of Jad and Robert’s Radiolab, OG Serial, and Reply All are behind us.
The first season of Serial is the original true crime podcast that was a sensation.
I think I’ve loved these two because they remind me of my early podcast days where I listened through Serial and S-Town multiple times.
The Serial series is very good especially season 1.
