Sequential Prophet Rev2

Pros

• I’ve owned many, many synths over the years (Juno 106, ob6, rev 2, nord leads, etc.)
• If you need that searing top end you’ll want that Rev2
• The Rev2 is amazing in a mix
• I still say the Rev 2 is one of the best sounding, highly flexible underrated synths that tends to get some similar ”hate” on it’s tone or filters until there’s a blind test.

Cons

• I've looked at options like the Rev2 or the Behringer Deepmind 12, but I really am not clear on what synth in general is the best.
• The top end on the Rev2 is very different than many of his other synths, including the Take5, P6, T6, PX, Pro2/Pro3, etc. It is somehow just a bit buzzier than the others, and sounds a bit unpleasant with the filter wide open, even with...
• The base saw also doesn't have the slew rate spike at the top the Rev2 does - this a buzzy sounds that stands out but it can be tiring and gives the Rev2 that samey brassy sound with a saw osc when the filter is all the way open that peo...
• Whereas with the Rev2 it always sounded brittle and harsh to my ears.
• I sold my Rev2 because I didn't like it despite it's pedigree.
